Optimized autofocus with intelligent AI real-time tracking

The advanced, fast hybrid autofocus combines AF phase detection and AF contrast detection. It is now even faster, more accurate and more reliable than before. Sony's "4D FOCUS" covers approximately 94% of the image area with 7596 AF phase detection points and a wide, dense AF area for stills and video. With the powerful memory buffer, fast processor and optimized card writing speed, over 800 frames at up to 10 fps with AF/AE tracking are possible with mechanical and electronic shutter. The subject recognition algorithm uses color, pattern and distance data of the subject to quickly process spatial data in real time. Eyes and faces of subjects such as people, birds and other animals are recognized with high precision by AI. You simply select the subject and the camera tracks it for you. The new high-speed processor significantly improves the performance of real-time eye autofocus for subjects looking upwards, downwards or sideways. Touch Tracking can also be used to activate real-time tracking for any subject in the image section and, if eyes are detected, real-time eye autofocus can be activated at the same time by simply touching the display. If you set the camera's subject detection to "Animal" in advance, animal eyes are automatically detected and tracked. When recording video in 4K at up to 30p, 7K full-frame oversampling is possible, resulting in high-resolution, detailed 4K images. Select a suitable mode and let the camera do the rest. The "S-Cinetone color matrix" is based on the technology developed for "CineAlta cameras" and ensures beautiful skin tones without any post-processing. The "Creative Look" presets create further interesting visual moods directly on the camera. With "S-Log3 Gamma" you can also exploit the full dynamic range of the camera to simplify post-processing. The Alpha 7 IV builds on Sony's parallel lens and camera development and offers an innovative "Breathing Compensation" for focusing, which is only available for Sony E-mount lenses. With a reduction in the field of view change that can occur when changing focus with different lenses during video recording, you can achieve impressive results. With the new focus map for displaying the depth of field during recording, Sony is responding to a professional request.
