The Laowa 105mm f / 2 STF lens with adjustable soft focus effect and a focal length of 105 mm from Venus Optic is suitable for use with Sony FE cameras and can be used in particular for portrait photography. It has a unique optical design with an APD element next to the bezel. The APD element resembles the function of an ND filter, which thickens toward the periphery and gradually reduces the light transmission toward the periphery to a soft, natural and beautifully diffuse, out-of-focus playback (or called bokeh) The lens also offers a minimum focusing distance of 90 cm. You can adjust the aperture and the focus manually.

The Laowa 105mm f / 2 STF allows you to set a diffuse blur outside of the bokeh via an adjustment ring. Especially with video recordings, you can thus adjust the amount of light and the depth of field individually.

The structure of the lens is divided into eleven elements in eight groups. These elements include a high-index element, three low-scattering elements and an APD element, ensuring the highest sharpness and low chromatic aberration.
