Power down when ports are not active
When a computer or network device is powered off, the corresponding port of a traditional switch continues to consume a significant amount of power. The TL-SG1024DR automatically detects the link status of each port and reduces the power consumption of those ports that are idle.

Power allocation according to cable length
Ideally, a shorter cable would consume less power because less energy is lost over the length of the cable. This is not the case with most devices as they send the same amount of power over the cable regardless of its length. The TL-SG1024DE analyzes the length of the connected Ethernet cable and adjusts the power allocation accordingly instead of keeping the power consumption at the level of the conventional solution.

Easy to operate
The automatic functions of this Gigabit switch make installation easy thanks to plug-and-play. No configuration is required. Auto-MDI/MDIX eliminates the need for crossover cables. Auto-tuning on each port detects the connection speed of a device (10, 100 or 1000Mbps) and intelligently adjusts to ensure compatibility and optimal performance.
