Simple yet effective management

TP-LINK's TL-SG105E offers you various options for network monitoring. Using port mirroring, loopback detection and cable diagnostics, you can detect and even localize connection problems in your network. You can also prioritize traffic based on port priority and 802.1p priority to ensure that VoIP and video streaming always run smoothly and without delay.

To further improve security and performance, the TL-SG105E supports MTU VLAN, port-based VLAN and 802.1q-based VLAN. With its basic management functions, the Easy Smart Switch is therefore one level above the unmanaged switches and offers great added value at a similar price.

Switch off inactive ports

When a computer or network device is switched off, the corresponding port of a traditional switch continues to consume a significant amount of power. The TL-SG105E automatically detects the link status of each port and reduces the power consumption of ports that are idle.

Power allocation according to cable length

Ideally, shorter cables consume less power as less energy is lost over short distances. However, most conventional devices transmit at maximum power for any length of cable. TP-LINK's Green IT recognizes the length of the connected Ethernet cable and adjusts the transmission power accordingly instead of keeping the power consumption at the level of the conventional solution.

Easy to use

The TL-SG105E is characterized by easy setup and handling. Auto-MDI/MDIX eliminates the need for crossover cables. Auto-tuning on each port detects the connection speed of a network device (10, 100 or 1000Mbps) and intelligently adjusts to ensure compatibility and optimal performance.
