Story

The Lifestream is the foundation of life and death - everything born on the planet returns to it. However, the Shinra Corporation taps into the planet's Lifestream to extract energy and great wealth from the resource known as "Mako."

After countless fierce battles in the Mako-powered metropolis of Midgar, ex-SOLDIER Cloud Strife and his allies venture out into the wide world. They are carried by Chocobos over grassy plains and embark on an uncertain path, which marks the beginning of their fateful journey across the planet.

At the same time, Rank 1 SOLDIER Zack Fair trudges through the wasteland outside Midgar. Injured and exhausted, he drags his wounded body forward while helping his friend Cloud, who is in a delirium due to Mako poisoning. Beyond the veil of death, an ominous rift tears the sky apart.

Meanwhile, the Wutai transitional government leads the anti-Shinra coalition in a declaration of war.

Figures in black robes carry the remains of Jenova, the extraterrestrial being that brought devastation from the stars and the source of suffering, in a grim procession.

The fearsome guardians known as Arma sense that the planet is in danger and rise from the Lifestream.

Through the machinations of Cloud's arch-nemesis Sephiroth, the threads of fate intertwine and are reborn.

FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH is the highly anticipated new chapter of the "FINAL FANTASY VII" remake project, a reinterpretation of the legendary original game in three standalone titles by its original creators.
