In addition to the stainless steel metal filter, which absorbs grease particles, activated charcoal filters are used in extractor hoods in recirculation mode. Unpleasant kitchen smells are stored in the micropores of the activated carbon and neutralized.

If you operate your Miele cooker hood with recirculation, make sure that the operating hours counter on your hood is activated. It reliably indicates when the charcoal filter needs to be changed. Your Miele cooker hood can only work properly in recirculation mode if you change it regularly.
