An ambitious new adventure set in Illumina City awaits you in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, launching at the end of 2025 on Nintendo Switch. Explore the city, uncover its secrets, and battle with Pokémon like never before!

An Illuminated Metropolis
A city development plan is underway in Illumina City! The goal of this plan: to make the city a place where Pokémon and humans can truly share their lives together. Shortly after your arrival, you will choose one of these partner Pokémon to accompany you on your journey: Chikorita, Tepig, or Croconaw.

Together with your partner Pokémon, you can explore the streets of this vast city or visit wild sectors—habitats where you will encounter wild Pokémon. If you want to catch one, you need to aim carefully and throw a Poké Ball at it, or you can team up with the Pokémon in your party to take it down.

New, Dynamic Battles
For the very first time, trainers and their Pokémon will move together and act in real-time during battles. Pokémon will execute their attacks as soon as their trainers command them.

In addition to type differences, there will be new battle conditions to consider. For example, the timing of switching your Pokémon or the varying duration before an attack launches, as well as the size of an attack's area of effect.

Mega Evolution is Back!
In Illumina City, Pokémon can exceed ordinary evolution with Mega Evolution! When a trainer's key stone reacts with a Mega stone of one of their Pokémon, the Pokémon won't just change its form and size—it will unleash unprecedented powers that can turn the tide in battle!
