Catch, observe, and research wild Pokémon to create the first complete Pokédex of the Sinnoh region, in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Pokémon Legends: Arceus stays true to the basic gameplay of previous Pokémon games and expands it with new action and role-playing elements.

• An adventure from the Sinnoh region's past - You travel to the Sinnoh region, the setting for Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl - but this story takes place in a time long before there were Pokémon Trainers or a Pokémon League. You're surrounded by wild Pokémon living in inhospitable lands. Here you'll discover Sinnoh from a side you didn't see in Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl.
• Catch Pokémon - To catch Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you'll first study their behavior. Then, sneak up on them and throw your Pokéball! Your Pokémon companion can help you catch it by fighting wild Pokémon. Simply throw the Pokéball your Pokémon companion is in at a wild Pokémon to seamlessly transition into battle. Select the attacks your Pokémon is capable of to give it commands.
• Meet your first partner Pokémon - So you don't have to go it alone on your mission to create the region's first Pokédex, you can choose Bauz, Feurigel or Ottaro as your partner. These three Pokémon were brought by a Pokémon professor who encountered them on research trips to different regions.
