For measuring stair treads
- Set for exact measurement of demanding tread dimensions and stable transfer to the workpiece
- Flexible chain element for measuring curves on spiral staircases
- Spacer for expansion joints and protrusion gauge for taking material allowances into account
- Functions: Measurement of treads, measurement of curves and angles, consideration of expansion joints (3 mm), consideration of material allowances, stable fixing of the template for error-free transfer of the shape to the workpiece
- Ideal for wooden stairs, spiral wooden stairs, stairs with demanding tread dimensions
Renovating an old wooden staircase is one of the most ambitious DIY projects. But with the stair gauge, measuring the treads is drastically simplified, even on spiral staircases: uneven angles, curves, expansion joints and material allowances can be mastered with ease. The stair gauge combines the advantages of a stair spider with those of a conventional template or angle template. Integrated expansion joint wedges and protrusion gauges for adding material, e.g. for the treads, round off the set. High-quality screws with wing nuts hold the template securely in position so that you can transfer the measurements to the workpiece safely and accurately.
