Sony PXW-FS7M2 Body

Sony expands the FS-series with the new FS7 II camera.

The PXW-FS7 II does not replace the PXW-FS7 but is an extension of the range.


The PXW-FS7 II receives the following enhancements and improvements:

• BT.2020 color space
• Besides S-Gamut3 and S-Gamut3.Cine can be in the PXW-FS7 II also BT.2020 color space selected.
• Variable ND filter as the PXW-FS5. (Range: Clear - 7 stops)
• About the usual mechanical ND filters can be accessed on the 3 main ND filter sizes.
• E-mount lens mount with Bayonettverriegelung and software upgrades over the Body
• Thus no longer the optic has to be rotated to remove it. This helps especially when lenses constantly need to be changed and they are but still connected lens supports and compendia with the light-weight support.
• Software updates for optics can now be carried out directly through the body.

Mechanical changes

• The handle extension has been revised so that now can be done easier adjustment of the length. Both screw terminals now have a ArriRosette so that the handle can be further set back.
• The viewfinder mount now has a square tube, so that the examiner can no longer tilt sideways.
• The closing essay Lupe has been simplified. Above just hang and close down the bracket.
• 10 Assign Buttons (FS7 only their 6) with a ring so they can be better sensed.
• New Assign functions include Push Auto ND, ND filter position, Auto ND filter
• About the wheel on the handle and the ND filter can now be adjusted.
• The ejection of the XQD cards has been improved. The cards are after ejection before further so that more can be Accessed on this.
• Power LED on the power button. Thus you can see whether you have power.
• The opening direction of the audio controller cover was changed.
