de Buyer PRIMAPPETY Sauteuse conical Ø16cm, induction

I ordered two de Buyer PRIMAPPETY sauté pans Ø16 cm with the note "suitable for all cooktops including induction." Unfortunately, both pans were not recognized by my induction cooktop and were therefore unusable for me. When I inquired, I was informed that the specified diameter refers to the opening of the pan, not the base. This information was crucial for me when purchasing, as the base diameter can be relevant for induction cooktops. In my view, this was not clearly indicated in the product description. The specification "Ø16 cm" combined with "induction" or "for all cooktops including induction" was misleading to me. A return was initially refused on the grounds that there was no product defect and I should contact the manufacturer of my cooktop. Although the response was polite and it was later acknowledged that the description could be improved, no customer-friendly solution was offered to me. Overall, this was a disappointing experience for me: friendly contact, but unclear product information in my opinion and little goodwill regarding an understandable misunderstanding.
