The Rigid Ultra Cuff features a unibody frame that minimizes the mobility of the restrained person. The frame is ergonomically contoured, allowing the officer to maintain a secure, natural tactical grip – for quick application as well as control and enforcement of the restraint after it is applied.

ASP's exclusive Ultra Cuffs represent the most significant advancement in handcuff design in over 100 years. These restraints have been developed, tested, revised, retested, and perfected in the field – with feedback from officers and tactical trainers worldwide. The result is a restraint system with materials, construction, and features that are not found in any other handcuff:

Forged Aluminum Frame: Made from 7075 T6 military-grade aluminum. The Ultra Cuff frame is extremely strong yet lightweight. Forging – as opposed to the stamped steel parts of other restraints – eliminates rough or sharp edges. The smooth, rounded Ultra Cuff frame is therefore more ergonomic and safer for both officers and the restrained individual.

Conical, Flat Contact Bar: The geometry of the bar accommodates a wider range of wrist sizes. The flat contact surface enhances speed and precision during application. Additionally, the bars are strongly rounded to prevent injuries. Ultra Cuffs are available with either steel or aluminum bars to further reduce weight.

Dual-Sided, Single-Direction Keyholes: Ultra Cuffs feature keyholes and double-locking slots on both sides of the frame. Both the main lock and the double lock can be opened by turning the key in only one direction. Colored indicators on the double-locking slots allow for immediate recognition of the locking status. All these features make application, readjustment, double-locking, and removal faster and easier.

Interchangeable Lock Modules: The locking mechanisms are designed as a unit and are interchangeable. This allows for maintenance in the field and provides the unique ability to adapt lock modules to the specifications of different agencies or to upgrade to a high-security configuration.* Due to their design and integration into the forged frame, the locks are also extremely resistant to tampering.

Compatibility with Transport Kit: The channel in the center of the Rigid Ultra Cuff frame makes the restraints compatible with ASP's award-winning Transport Kit (sold separately).
