Training Tri-Folds are identical in material, construction, and function to standard handcuffs, but can be released and removed without cutting. This speeds up the training process, enhances safety, and avoids the waste of 'live' handcuffs and their disposal.

As the name suggests, the straps of the lightweight ASP Tri-Fold disposable handcuffs can be folded in three places to store them ultra-compactly on a belt or vest. In use, they provide wide, open loops for quick and easy application. They are perfect for crowd control, military use, air security, and other situations where traditional handcuffs are not practical or desirable. The triple-folded straps are extra wide, have smooth edges for safety, and run through a fully enclosed ratchet block with a washer guard that prevents tearing. The strap can be quickly and securely tightened with the included pull ring or the optional extra-long pull cord. After tightening, pressing the secondary snap buttons provides additional security.

The latest generation of Tri-Folds features a new polymer formulation - perfected after over a hundred prototypes - that does not dry out or become brittle, giving them higher strength and a longer shelf life.
