The ASP Ultra Cuffs made of aluminum already set a new standard in terms of design, technology, features and application of handcuffs. Now ASP is raising the bar once again with the Ultra Plus Cuffs handcuffs, as they have an important new function: keyless double locking. The double locking feature - a crucial step to ensure both the safety of the individual and the officer - is easily and instantly achieved by pressing the double locking bar with a fingertip. The bar is color-coded and allows for quick visual status recognition: once the handcuffs are on and adjusted, press the bar. And since a key is no longer required during the application of the handcuffs, it is even safer for everyone involved.

Apart from the revolutionary keyless double locking system, the "Plus Cuffs" have the same features that make the ASP Ultra Cuffs the non plus ultra among handcuffs:

Forged aluminum frame: Forged from weapon grade 7075 T6 aluminum, the Ultra Cuffs frames are rigid and incredibly strong, yet lightweight. Forging - unlike the stamped steel parts of other cuffs - also eliminates rough or sharp edges; the smooth, rounded Ultra Cuff frame is more ergonomic and safer for the officer and the restrained person.
The geometry of the cuff adapts to a wider range of wrists, and the flat contact surface improves application speed and accuracy. The cuffs are also strongly rounded to prevent injuries. Ultra Cuffs are available with either steel or aluminum temples to further reduce stress.

Keyways on both sides, rotatable on one side: Ultra Cuffs feature keyways on both sides of each frame, and both the primary lock and double lock are released by turning the key in one direction. Double locks can be released and re-engaged with the key without loosening the cuff bows, allowing for safe and easy adjustment. All these functions make putting on and removing the cuffs quicker and easier.

Interchangeable lock sets: The locks are standardized and interchangeable. This allows them to be serviced in the field if required and offers the unique ability to swap lock sets to suit different agencies' preferences or change to a high security configuration.
