9 water filters replace Brita Classic filter cartridges
5 filter stages for a reliable result
High-quality filter materials ensure maximum cartridge life.
In combination with the patented Aqua Select Plus® overflow, also protected against contamination.
Household water filters are used to treat drinking water from the public water supply network. This involves reducing the water hardness and any contamination from the domestic water supply.
The coarse filter prevents larger particles, such as grains of sand, from entering the filter.
The fine-mesh pre-filter consists of a fleece that prevents the next smallest solid particles, e.g. dust, from entering the cartridge.
Ion exchangers (white beads) inside the filter filter dissolved substances such as limescale and lead from the drinking water by binding calcium or lead ions and exchanging them for hydrogen ions.
Activated carbon (black granules) is highly porous and therefore has a very large surface area. This structure filters out and binds chlorine as well as odor- and taste-impairing organic substances.
The fine-mesh secondary filter prevents the filtered water from becoming cloudy due to very fine activated carbon particles.
The result is filter-fresh water with a natural taste, reduced limescale and chlorine content and reduced levels of lead, cadmium, zinc, copper, etc., which can be released from the domestic water supply.
All materials of the filter cartridges are tested and, of course, tested for food suitability to the high standards of the European Community. This also applies to their application results.
TÜV Rheinland has confirmed the high quality standard of Aqua Select Plus® filter cartridges. The TÜV test mark documents that the filter cartridges have been manufactured with more care than usual. They are suitable for use with food and are regularly monitored.
During the production of Aqua Select Plus® filter cartridges, they are sterilized using an environmentally friendly process without the use of chemicals.
