Household water filters are used for the treatment of drinking water from the public water supply. The focus is on reducing water hardness and any contaminants from the household piping.

Ion exchangers (white beads) inside the filter remove dissolved substances such as lime and lead from the drinking water by binding calcium or lead ions and exchanging them for hydrogen ions.

Activated carbon from coconut shells (black granules) is highly porous and has a very large surface area. In this structure, chlorine, as well as odor- and taste-altering organic substances, are filtered out and bound.

The fine mesh post-filter prevents cloudiness of the filtered water due to the finest activated carbon particles.

The result is freshly filtered water with a natural taste, reduced lime and chlorine content, and diminished levels of lead, cadmium, zinc, copper, etc., which can be released from the household water supply. High-quality and food-safe filter materials ensure a maximum lifespan of the cartridge.
