Carbonit Monoblock lime compact water filter

Scope of application:

• Improves the taste of cold and hot drinks (especially the aroma improvement of coffee and tea), protects household appliances from calcification and supports the preparation of healthy dishes
• for water filtration in the kitchen before removal (point of use), primarily in the SANUNO and VARIO-HP devices

Description:

• combined activated carbon ion exchange resin cartridge
• combines the special properties of a sintered activated carbon block with water softening through ion exchange resin
• the ion exchange resin first reduces the total hardness of the water, the downstream activated carbon block (10 µm) removes dissolved pollutants, odor and taste impairments as well as particles up to 10 µm in size
• the silver coating of the activated carbon ensures hygienic safety

Power:

• depending on the hardness of the output water and the bypass setting, see data sheet
• Depending on the hardness of the raw water, up to 1,900 l (5-10 ° dH) or 450 l (11-25 ° dH) can be reached
• The filter cartridge must be replaced if the typical lime appearances such as tea skin, loss of aroma or limescale deposits on surfaces again
• According to DIN 1988, a change is required after 6 months at the latest

• Flow: 1.9 l / min (at 4 bar line pressure)
• Filter fineness: 10 µm

Usage notes:

• Use only with cold water, protect from frost.
• Adjustment to the degree of hardness of the inlet water takes place via bypass holes (see operating instructions)
• A test strip is included with the cartridge to measure the initial hardness
• the flow rate of the cartridge is limited to 1.9 l / min (at 4 bar) in order to ensure an optimal reduction in hardness over a sufficient contact time of the water with the ion exchange resin
• the softening effect can be clearly measured using inexpensive, commercially available measuring technology
• the cartridge can only be used once and is disposed of with normal household waste
• only drinking water quality may be used as input water
• the silver coating of the activated carbon ensures hygienic safety, but is not a microbiological barrier
• Note: Descaling solutions with a bacteria barrier are available as serial double devices (DUO-HP)
