Compared to the main type NFP, GFP cartridges have a 55% higher activated carbon mass. The activated carbon mass

determines the adsorptive retention rate (ARR) and retention capacity (ARK). That is why the application at

high adsorption requirements recommended (discoloration, odor removal, ...)

GFP cartridges in the filter block consist exclusively of activated carbon. In contrast to the NFP type (2x flat gaskets each 4mm, above and below), they only have one with a thickness of 8mm. This must always be used on the bottom cover side (side of the cartridge without a central outlet hole). GFP cartridges fit into all devices in which NFP are used.

The filter cartridge must be changed after 6 months (according to DIN 1988). In principle, 10,000 liters of water can be filtered within the 6 months. However, it may need to be changed earlier if the water flow is noticeably reduced. An early change is not a defect in the filter used, but an indication of the increased occurrence of fine particles in the unfiltered water.
