Expanding media choice for XDCAM EX series

The innovative XDCAM EX professional product line from Sony is designed to exploit the ultimate high-speed performance and reliability of SxS PRO and SxS-1 media. However, SxS media is a professional format that is not available in retail stores. For this reason, Sony has to be the ultimate solution developed the MEAD-SD02 adapter for situations where the additional media is required or where the cost to play a greater role, which allows the use of standard SD cards. He replaces the model MEAD-SD01.

The MEAD-SD02 adapter is the same shape as SxS memory cards so as to fit without protruding parts in the media slots on XDCAM EX camcorders. Thus, upon rotation, both the media and the memory card slot are protected. The adapter can accept an SDHC or SDXC card, which can be easily plugged.

Note: Due to the limited speed of the SD card is not recommended to use the slow-motion recording function. Due to the nature of the adapter and the SD card, it also comes at a slightly limited reliability than SxS media - you therefore proceed with caution when you turn off XDCAM EX hardware during recording.
