The Casio GA-100-1A1ER from the G-Shock Originals series is one of the professionals in the range. In addition to the usual features of the shock-resistant, water-resistant watch, the model has some even more precise, even more special, even better functions, all of which are reflected in the sleek black-on-black look of the case, bracelet and dial.

As with all newer models, the dark dial can be activated with a slight twist of the wrist; the movement activates the LEDs and illuminates the display. This model initially displays the usual values, namely the date with the day of the week and the time in 12 or 24-hour format. The analog time display also runs continuously and gives this highly technical watch a pleasantly civilian look. World time can be displayed in up to 29 time zones. The stopwatch on the Casio GA-100-1A1ER is accurate to 1/1000 of a second and can run for up to 100 hours - a real plus for long-term recordings and continuous activities. The elapsed time, split time and end time are displayed.

The timer can be set to run for up to 24 hours; it emits a signal at the end time and can then be reactivated automatically. The daily alarm, which sounds a signal, reminds you of recurring daily events. Five different alarms can be set at different times. If an alarm is used as an alarm function, the snooze function can also be used, because who wants to miss out on those extra minutes of snooze in the morning!

Athletes will be interested in the speed display, which measures the average speed for a distance covered. This works simply by entering the distance at the start of the activity and then measuring the actual time with the stopwatch. Swimmers and divers take the watch with them to stop their dives or to check the time; the watch is water-resistant to 20 bar and is therefore even suitable for free diving.

The sporty watch, whose design alone shows that performance is the key objective here, is of course subject to the characteristics of the typical G-Shock watch, whose hollow case provides the technical inner workings with the best possible protection against shocks and impacts. The cushioning properties of the synthetic resin of the resin strap and case as well as the hard, scratch-resistant mineral glass ensure that the watch will be a long-lasting companion, whether in everyday life or during sport, whether in the office or in the field. A special feature for all tactical operators is the anti-magnetic property of the case, which shields the watch from magnetic fields.

With a battery life of 2 years per battery, the watch is also reliable in terms of energy consumption.
