HDMI 2.1 for a powerful viewing and gaming experience
The VSX-935's HDMI ports*1 support 8K/60p (4:4:4/12-bit*2, 4:2:0/10- bit), 8K/30p (4:4:4/12-bit*2, 4:4:4/10-bit, 4:2:2/12-bit), 4K/120p (4:4:4/12-bit*2, 4:4:4/10-bit, 4:2:2/12-bit) video passthrough to compatible displays, and HDCP 2.3, so you won't have any problems when upgrading to new devices. HDMI 2.1 also supports VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) to eliminate lag, judder, and image judder for a smooth gaming experience. Various enhancements such as ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) and QFT (Quick Frame Transport) help optimize latency and further limit lags to ensure you're always at the top of your game.

Dolby Atmos/Dolby Surround Upmixing
The VSX-935 is compatible with the 5.2.2-channel confi guration of the latest cinema sound platform, Dolby Atmos. You can play back the object-oriented sound in smooth, sweeping motion or the realistic three-dimensional motion through the top speakers. Other audio codecs such as PCM and DSD can be upmixed with Dolby Surround to enjoy 3D surround sound.

DTS:X/DTS Neural:X Upmixing
DTS:X is the next-generation audio codec from DTS that uses object-based audio to deliver new immersive and interactive audio experiences. Because DTS:X can automatically match audio to existing channels and speaker system, no special speaker placement is required. Experience an immersive soundscape with incredibly rich and lifelike audio. Other audio codecs such as PCM and DSD can be upmixed with DTS Neural:X to enjoy 3D surround sound.

Dolby Atmos Height Virtualizer
When playing any Dolby format, enabling Dolby Atmos Height Virtualizer enables a more immersive listening experience by creating a virtual surround and height effect from conventional speaker layouts without the need for additional surround or height speakers.

DTS Virtual:X
With DTS Virtual:X, you can enjoy three-dimensional, immersive sound similar to DTS:X without the need for height or rear speakers. The technology supports 2 to 7.1.4-channel input sources, for output to 2 to 5.1 or even 7.1-channel speaker layouts. DTS Virtual:X works with all DTS codecs, including DTS:X.

Personal Preset
Simply press the Personal Preset button on the front panel for three seconds, and your current settings such as volume and listening mode can be stored. Up to three presets can be registered and easily recalled using the front panel button or the remote control.

Dialog Expansion
This unique midrange control feature allows you to make independent volume adjustments to the range, including dialog in movies, using the up/down button on the remote control.

MCACC Automatic Room Tuning
Create the optimal acoustic environment with Pioneer's MCACC (Multi-Channel Acoustic Calibration System), developed with the expertise of professional recording studios. With the custom microphone, the system automatically compensates for differences in speaker size, level, and distance and equalizes the response.

Works with SONOS
When you connect the VSX-935 to the Sonos ecosystem with Connect or Port, you can play any music or audio source through your Sonos app. When Volume Pass Through mode is selected in the Sonos app settings, you can control the volume of the unit through the Sonos app or yourself. Enjoy high-quality playback from the AV receiver via the Sonos app, just as you would with your favorite Sonos system.

Powered Zone 2 with Dedicated DAC
GMWith the Active function, the VSX-935 can directly drive speakers in another room without the need for a separate amplifier. In addition, the dedicated DAC for Zone 2 lets you listen to all digital audio sources.

Zone-B output for wireless headphones
The VSX-935 is equipped with Zone-B audio outputs that let you expand the sound of the main zone by connecting your wireless headphone dock. You can receive the sound playing in the living room through wireless headphones.

High-quality audio streaming through Bluetooth Wireless Technology
Stream songs from compatible devices with built-in Bluetooth Wireless Technology (ver. 4.2). The VSX-935 features A2DP/AVRCP profi le and supports SBC/aptX/aptX HD codecs for the transmitter and SBC/AAC codecs for the receiver. So you can not only listen to music with the receiver via Bluetooth, but also listen to the main sound source of the receiver with a high-quality codec via compatible headphones. With the Wake on Play feature, the AV receiver automatically wakes up and switches the input when a Bluetooth source starts playing.

Voice Control
The VSX-935 works with Ok Google, so you can control playback of various Chromecast-supported music services by asking a Google Assistant-enabled device to play, stop, skip, or increase or decrease the volume. This receiver also works with Alexa, so you can also control music services supported by Alexa-integrated devices with voice commands.
