Noctua's NF-A14 is a quiet 140mm premium fan designed for use as a chassis fan or on watercooling radiators. Through advanced aerodynamic design measures such as Flow Acceleration Channels, the fan achieves even better silent cooling performance compared to the NF-P14 (also from Noctua). Its performance-oriented maximum speed and comprehensive speed control options make the NF-A14 PWM a top-of-the-line solution for users looking for a perfect balance between excellent cooling performance and super quiet running, whether it's water cooling radiators, heatsinks or case ventilation!
AAO frame system
Noctua's AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimization) frames feature built-in vibration bumpers, as well as a stepped inlet area (Stepped Inlet Design) and an interior microstructure (Inner Surface Microstructures) for even better performance / noise efficiency.
Flow Acceleration Channels
The impeller of the NF-A14 is equipped on the suction side with so-called flow acceleration channels. Acceleration of the airflow in the critical outer regions of the fan blades reduces suction vortex shedding, resulting in higher efficiency and lower turbulence-induced noise emissions.
Square 140mm frame
With its square frame and 140mm mounting holes (124.5mm pitch), the NF-A14 is an ideal premium upgrade to standard 140mm case fans. At the same time, it is perfect for use on 140mm watercooling radiators, where the square shape ensures full coverage of the cooling fins for the best pressure performance.
PWM IC with SCD
The NF-A14 PWM supports fully automatic speed control via PWM, using Noctua's specially designed NE-FD1 chip. This PWM IC incorporates Noctua's Smooth Commutation Drive (SCD) technology that minimizes PWM switching noise, making the fan quieter at low speeds. In addition, the fan comes with a Low Noise Adapter (LNA) that reduces the maximum speed from 1500 to 1200rpm. This allows you to either operate the fan at a constant 1200rpm or limit the maximum speed in PWM operation.
Comprehensive connection options
While the 20 cm short primary cable in typical applications helps to avoid cable clutter, the included 30 cm extension offers extra reach for all cases. Both cables are fully sheathed and a 4-pin Y-cable allows you to control a second PWM fan at the same port.
