An extraordinary and particularly beautiful way to measure time: Every hour on the hour, the original song of one of 12 native songbirds is heard - from the blackbird to the nightingale to the oriole.

When dusk falls, the birds go to sleep in "their nest": thanks to a built-in light sensor, the voices turn off automatically when it gets dark.

The colorful and detailed illustrations on the dial are by renowned bird illustrators: Kilian Mullarney (Ireland) and Dan Zetterström (Sweden).

An informative accompanying booklet additionally describes the special characteristics, voices and habitats of the 12 birds depicted.
