KEF Kube 12 MIE – Active 12-Inch Subwoofer

The KEF Kube 12 MIE delivers powerful, controlled bass with impressive depth for music, movies, and gaming. Its forward-firing 300 mm long-throw driver is powered by an efficient 300-watt RMS Class-D amplifier. KEF's proprietary Music Integrity Engine® optimizes the interaction of all components, enabling dynamic and precise bass reproduction at any volume level.

As the second largest model in the Kube-MIE series, the Kube 12 MIE is especially suited for larger living spaces and demanding home theater setups.

Powerful and Precise Deep Bass

The large 12-inch long-throw driver offers high excursion, producing powerful sound pressure down to very low frequencies. The integrated 300-watt RMS Class-D amplifier operates efficiently and provides ample power reserves for intense movie scenes, music, and gaming.

With a frequency range of 22 to 140 Hz and a maximum sound pressure level of 114 dB, the Kube 12 MIE delivers noticeable yet controlled bass.

Music Integrity Engine® with iBX

KEF's Music Integrity Engine® uses specially developed DSP algorithms to perfectly align the driver, amplifier, and sealed enclosure. The Intelligent Bass Extension (iBX) enhances bass performance, ensuring deep and precise sound even at low volumes.

Sealed and Elegant Enclosure

The sealed enclosure supports fast, controlled bass reproduction and allows flexible placement within the room. Its understated black design enables the subwoofer to blend discreetly into modern living and home theater environments.

Three EQ Settings for Room Placement

The Kube 12 MIE features three preset EQ modes, allowing its bass response to be tailored to its position in the room – for example, free-standing, near a wall, or in a corner.

Flexible Connectivity Options

Thanks to KEF SmartConnect as well as RCA and speaker-level inputs, the subwoofer can be paired with a wide range of stereo and home theater systems. The adjustable low-pass filter enables precise tuning to the connected speakers.

For wireless audio transmission, the Kube 12 MIE includes an expansion port for the optional KEF KW1 Wireless Subwoofer Adapter Kit. The KW1 adapter is not included with the subwoofer.

Automatic Power-On and 12V Trigger

Multiple operating modes allow seamless integration into your audio system:

• Auto Wake-up detects an incoming audio signal and automatically powers on the subwoofer.

• Always-on keeps the subwoofer continuously ready for use.

• The 12V trigger allows the subwoofer to be switched on and off together with a compatible amplifier or AV receiver.
