Homematic ip continuity sensor

The Homematic IP Through Directional Sensor is part of the Homematic IP Smart Home system and reliably detects people passing through a door or passageway. Both the number of persons and the direction of passage are registered. The sensor detects people day and night in a detection range of up to 4.5 meters. The detection angle is 66 °. If the sensor is used together with other Homematic IP devices, innumerable usage scenarios can be implemented. For example, the room light can be switched on automatically when entering and switched off when leaving. In addition, the sensor can be used to trigger an alarm. The unit is mounted horizontally to the floor and can be placed not only in the door frame, but on various surfaces and places in the building. With a mounting height above 80 centimeters, the detection of pets is avoided. An integrated sabotage contact provides additional security. Two LR6 batteries provide the passage sensor with energy for typically two years. The assembly can be done with double-sided tape or with the help of two small screws. The required mounting material is included.
