Hobbes Cable search and testing device

This cable locator and tester, consisting of a tone generator and a probe (cable locator), is an extremely practical aid for cable installation and troubleshooting.

• The probe tests for continuity and identification, as well as determines line polarity and voltage for network/telephone cables.
• The tone generator sends a signal down the connected line, and the probe is used to locate the corresponding line at the other end; indication is provided both via LED and acoustically.
• The probe (cable locator) features a special inductive plastic tip to prevent accidental short circuits in the vicinity of high-voltage devices.
• The tone generator can optionally send single-tone and multi-tone signals.
• The probe is also available separately.
• Battery for the cable locator: 1x 9V block (6LR61 / AM-6).
• Battery for the tone generator: 1x 9V block (6LR61 / AM-6).
