The OP1 8K features a so-called hybrid skate design. This means that a smaller skate set is pre-installed on the mouse, providing a great balance between surface, weight, and gliding properties. Additionally, Endgame Gear includes a larger skate set and a sensor skate in the packaging, which is particularly beneficial for softer mouse pads.

If you want to minimize the surface of your mouse skates, for example, for use on a glass pad, the large skate cutouts of the OP1 8K offer many options for using your favorite skates. The screws in the bottom plate can be loosened to open the mouse and swap the main switch switches without having to remove the skates.
