e-Charge Cable, Type 2-type 3
The cable is made of TPE material and offers high resistance to oil, abrasion, and UV light. It remains flexible even at low temperatures. Type 2 sockets are now the EU standard. Vehicles from manufacturers such as Audi, BMW, Hyundai, KIA, Mercedes, Porsche, Seat, Skoda, Tesla, Volkswagen, and Volvo use Type 2 sockets.
- The charging process is monitored through bidirectional communication between the vehicle and the charger. After connecting the cable to the vehicle, a self-test is performed to ensure that the cable is properly connected and the vehicle is ready for power. Before the charging process begins and the cable is live, the contacts are mechanically locked. This protects against theft and unauthorized use during the charging process. After charging, unlock the vehicle to release the mechanical lock, and first remove the charging cable from the side of the vehicle to disconnect it from the charger.
