Description

Technical Specifications:

  • Operating Voltage: 24VDC (reverse polarity protected)
  • Operating Temperature: -10° C to +50° C Relay
  • Frequency: 16 frequencies (434 MHz band) adjustable via DIP switch (table at the end of the page)
  • Connections: Screw terminals up to AWG 13 (2.5mm²) (with separate potential terminal G-IN)
  • Antennas Connection: MCX socket
  • Mounting Type: DIN rail
  • Outputs: max. 4 x 2A/30 VDC
  • Inputs: (with separate potential terminal G-OUT) max. 4 x 7 - 30V
  • Current Consumption: Transmitter 1 mA - 50 mA @ 24VDC / Receiver 1 mA - 50 mA @ 24VDC
  • Encryption: 128 Bit AES
  • Modulation Type: frequency modulated

*The free field range when using an omnidirectional antenna should typically be around 500 m; with directional antennas, this can certainly be increased further. (Representation in the image without connected antenna)
However, it should never be overlooked that there can be influences/interferences that may lead to a reduced range. (Shielding by buildings with reinforced concrete, etc.)

Function

  • A signal at the input of the master (transmitter) switches the corresponding output relay at the slave (receiver).
  • A signal at the input of the slave (receiver) switches the corresponding output relay at the master (transmitter).
  • In Secure mode, relay 4 (OUT 4) is reserved for error evaluation, and the corresponding input has no function.

Commissioning
At the time of delivery, the radio relay modules have not yet learned a transmitter. The frequency, as well as the master and secure mode, must be set according to the desired application!

Learning a radio relay transmitter (Master DIP 8 set)
The transmitter (Master DIP 8 set) must be set to the desired frequency (DIP 1-4) and be operational. The receiver (Slave) must be set to the frequency (DIP 1-4) of the transmitter (Master) and be operational. The learn button on the receiver (Slave) is briefly pressed (with a pen or screwdriver). The learn LED blinks. Within the next 3 seconds, the transmitter (Master) will be learned. The flickering of the info LED indicates the connection.

Normal Mode (no Secure)
All 4 inputs/outputs can be used. Signal changes at the inputs of the master trigger a direct transmission process. Otherwise, a refresh packet is sent from the master every 3 seconds. If the master fails, the last relay switching state is retained at the slave (receiver).

Secure Mode (DIP 7 set)
On both the transmitter and receiver, DIP switch 7 must be set to Secure. Encrypted communication between master and slave occurs every 340 milliseconds. With successful communication, relay 4 switches on both devices. In case of disturbances, relay 4 switches off. This way, an electrical failure can also be indicated and evaluated.

Deleting the stored transmitter
If the learn button on the receiver (Slave) is pressed for longer than 10 seconds (the learn LED blinking slows down), the stored transmitter is deleted.
