Simple, cost-effective time-domain reflectometer for metallic two- or multi-wire cables including cable tracer. The CableTool is a length measuring device for all types of cables such as network, antenna, data, or power cables. The full-fledged reflectometer function ("Time Domain Reflectometer") determines total cable lengths or the distances to a fault (break or short circuit). With the voltmeter function, active lines can also be identified and the applied voltage displayed. Additionally, the CableTool features a built-in cable tracing function. A tone signal is sent into the cable, which can be located with a probe.
