The Deltaco e-Charge EV-3217 charging cable is compatible with all vehicles equipped with a Type 2 socket for those who wish to charge using a public charger or their own dedicated charging box at home with a Type 2 socket, known as Mode 3 charging. Charging power up to 11KW. Silver-plated connectors ensure good contact and long lifespan. Length 5M. Equipped with a dust cover to protect against dust, dirt, and moisture during storage. The cable is made from TPE material, which offers good resistance to oil, abrasion, and UV light. The cable remains flexible even in cold conditions. Type 2 sockets are now the EU standard; vehicles from manufacturers such as AUDI, BMW, Hyundai, KIA, Mercedes, Porsche, Seat, Skoda, Tesla, Volkswagen, and Volvo all use Type 2 sockets. The car charging process is monitored through bidirectional communication between the car and the charger. When plugging the cable into the car, a self-test is performed to ensure that the cable is properly connected and that the car is ready to receive power before the charging process begins and the cable is energized; the contacts are mechanically locked, which protects against theft and unauthorized use during charging. After charging, unlock the car so that the mechanical lock opens, and first remove the charging cable from the car side to disconnect it from the charger. The cable must not be repaired or spliced, as this may compromise its safety and functionality.
