Clinical studies show that the definition of fever can vary depending on the age of the child **. What is normal in a four-year-old can mean a fever in a newborn. Many parents do not know this. To help you easily interpret the temperature, Braun has developed Age Precision technology - an age-dependent temperature display that eliminates the uncertainty in temperature interpretations and gives you certainty in understanding the temperature.

Revolutionary dual technology
You can measure the temperature quickly and accurately. Either in touch mode, by placing the thermometer on the forehead between the eyebrows, or in no-touch mode, by holding the thermometer about 2 cm from the center of the forehead and aiming at the area between the eyebrows.

For accurate measurements it is important that the temperature is measured in the right place.

The measured temperature is shown on a color-coded display, making it easier for you to interpret the results.

Control system with proximity sensor and pilot light
The proximity sensor helps you align (guide) the correct distance of the thermometer to measure the temperature accurately.

In addition, a pilot light helps you to aim at the right places more easily.

Remove protective cap and switch on
Remove the scanner protective cap before taking a measurement. Press the power button once and then release it. The lighting comes on and the start sequence begins.

NOTE: The thermometer and the person whose temperature is being measured should be in the same ambient temperature for at least 10 minutes. A person must be indoors for at least 30 minutes before taking a measurement.

Choose age range
Position the thermometer between your eyebrows on or up to an inch from the center of your forehead. When the Thermometer is Ready Use the Age Precision button to select an age range.

The device begins to cycle through the various age ranges, with 3 ranges highlighted for you to choose from: 0-3 months, 3-36 months, or 36+ months. Press the Age Precision button to cycle through the areas until you find the correct area for each person.

positioning
Position the thermometer between your eyebrows on or up to an inch from the center of your forehead. When the thermometer is ready and at or 2.5 cm from your forehead, a horizontal dashed line ("-") will appear on the screen.

With no-touch measurements, the yellow guide light shows where you have directed the measuring tip.

NOTE: If the area between the eyebrows is covered with hair, sweat, or dirt, clean it first to improve measurement accuracy. It is important to keep the thermometer and forehead still during the measurement. Movements affect the temperature measurement.

Three horizontal lines mean that the thermometer is ready to take a measurement. Press the temperature button. A flashing dashed line will appear on the screen during measurement. When the measurement is complete, you will hear a beep to confirm and the temperature will be displayed in the corresponding color on the screen.

NOTE: If the device is too far from your forehead, it will prompt you to move closer to your forehead. For this purpose? 0-2 cm? Is displayed. Move the device slowly towards your forehead until the dashed flashing line appears and the measurement is displayed.
