Stewo Wrapping paper Matz

Founded by elementary school teacher Josef Steffen in 1860 in Wolhusen, Lucerne, Stewo first produced paper bags and envelopes at home. In addition to factory buildings with their own printing company brought the steady developments and from 1954 own laboratory of the company also many technological advances. In 1934 Stewo was the first manufacturer of wrapping paper in Switzerland, introducing the first strainer bag for the packaging of fresh bread in 1971 and the first metallised paper in 1984. With the subdivision of the product range in different lines, with ecological wrapping paper and with its own design studio in Wolhusen, Stewo followed the economic and social trends in the nineties. Today the company belongs to the Baier & Schneider GmbH, prints around 40 million meters of wrapping paper per year, has a special collection of napkins and exports to ?? r 40 countries around the world.
