Sony erweitert das XDCAM-HD422-Produktportfolio um den Handcamcorder PMW-150 mit 50 Mbit/s/HD422, drei Full HD 1/3''-Exmor-CMOS-Sensoren und einem 20-fachen Zoomobjektiv

Mit drei 1/3''-Exmor-CMOS-Sensoren erreicht der PMW-150 eine höhere Empfindlichkeit und geringeres Rauschen als vergleichbare 1/3''-Camcorder auf dem Markt. Er verfügt über ein 20-faches Zoomobjektiv mit einer Brennweite von 29,5 - 590 mm (entspricht 35 mm) und besticht mit Weitwinkelaufnahmen aus der Entfernung, beispielsweise bei Eventproduktionen und Dokumentationen. Das Objektiv verfügt über drei separate Ringe für Fokus, Zoom und Blende für eine vollständig manuelle Steuerung. Auch eine Funktion zur Bildstabilisierung steht zur Verfügung.
Der PMW-150 zeichnet in 1080/50i, 1080/25P, 720/50P, 720/25P oder PAL auf. Der Camcorder bietet zudem integrierte ND-Filter mit vier Positionen (Clear, 1: 1/4, 2: 1/16, 3: 1/64) und eine leistungsstarke Slow-&-Quick-Motion-Funktion, die bei Bildwechselfrequenzen von 1 Bild/s bis zu 60 Bildern/s im 720p-Modus und von 1 Bild/s bis 30 Bildern/s im 1080p-Modus aufzeichnen kann. Des Weiteren verfügt der PMW-150 über eine praktische Cache-Recording-Funktion. Noch bevor die Aufnahmetaste gedrückt wird, erfasst der Camcorder bis zu 15 Sekunden Bildmaterial im internen Speicher, die dem Anwender sonst entgangen wären.
Genlock In- und Time Code In/Out-Schnittstellen schaffen ideale Voraussetzungen für Anwendungen mit mehreren Kameras. Auch was die Auswahl der Aufnahmemedien angeht, zeichnet sich der Camcorder durch hohe Flexibilität aus. Ausser der professionellen SxS-Technologie von Sony akzeptiert der PMW-150 auch Medien wie SD-, Memory Stick- und XQD-Karten (Adapter erforderlich). Die Wi-Fi-Fernbedienung (Adapter erforderlich) mit Hilfe von kompatiblen Smartphones oder Tablets erhöht die Flexibilität bei Studio- und Aussenanwendungen.
