Areas of application: For all new and old exterior wood: facades, doors and windows (including their interior sides), garden sheds, screens and much more.

Coverage: approx. 12 m2 with 1 coat, depending on the type of wood and absorbency

How to glaze correctly:
1 Remove thick layers and chipped, unstable old coats. Do not inhale sanding dust! Wear a dust mask. Tie back plants. Do not apply in open light or open fire. Ensure good ventilation during application.
2 Cover the workplace with foil or paper. Brush or wipe off dust and dirt. Xyladecor Permanent Protective Glaze is ready to use and only needs to be stirred lightly.
3 For raw, untreated softwoods, we recommend the use of Xyladecor Wood Protection Primer. This effectively protects the wood against excessive moisture absorption and thus against wood discoloration. The finish becomes more attractive and even.
4 Apply 2 coats of undiluted Xyladecor Alpine Wood Stain with a soft flat brush in the direction of the wood grain. Several coats may be necessary for new wood.
5 An even surface can also be achieved by reworking with a squeezed-out brush approx. 10-20 minutes after treatment.
6 Apply 3 coats of Xyladecor Permanent Protective Glaze to the cut edges and end edges of the wood. This reduces the leaching of colored ingredients from the wood.
7 Always keep the can tightly closed after application. Use up remaining quantities within one coating season.

Cleaning:
After use, clean brushes and surfaces contaminated with product with turpentine substitute. Dispose of cleaning residues and cloths properly.

Advice:
Never paint directly weathered wood with only the Colorless variety. Only colored grades from Xyladecor protect the wood from greying.
