The My Book Duo offers huge storage capacity and is ideal for storing photos, videos, documents and music. With the built-in WD Red hard drives and the USB Type-C connector, it achieves ultra-fast speeds. You can also connect additional USB devices to the two USB Type-A expansion sockets.

With the default RAID-0 set, the My Book Duo is ready to go at maximum speed and capacity. Alternatively, the included WD Drive Utilities software allows you to set up a RAID-1 network for redundant storage or use as two independent disks (JBOD).

WD Red ?? hard drives are very reliable and suitable for 24x7 operation. They are specifically designed for use in NAS with 1 to 8 drive bays and small media servers and PCs with a RAID configuration. The RAID-optimized firmware ensures data integrity for read and write operations in the two-disk network.

With its two USB 3.0 Type-A host ports, the My Book Duo serves as a docking station and allows you to connect additional memory, keyboard and mouse, card readers, USB sticks or to synchronize or charge smartphones

The 256-bit AES hardware encryption built into the My Book Duo works in concert with WD Security software to keep your content private and secure. Set your own password to enable hardware encryption and data security.
