The Wahl MaxGo dog clipper is a super battery-operated clipper featuring the latest brushless motor technology and a lithium-ion battery. It is no wonder that the WAHL MaxGo holds its own against other clippers. The powerful brushless motor gives the WAHL MaxGo top cutting power, and the automatic speed control ensures a consistent cutting speed, regardless of the coat's condition. Thus, the cutting performance does not diminish even under challenging coat conditions.

The brushless motor has 2 speeds (3000 / 3700 RPM). Thanks to these different power levels, you can reduce the cutting power in sensitive areas. For nervous animals, smaller trimming tasks, fine coats, and matted areas, you would choose power level 1 at 3000 RPM, while for thick, coarse fur, you would select power level 2 at 3700 RPM.

What does brushless motor technology mean? The brushless motor technology ensures optimal power transmission with significantly reduced heat generation. Brushless motors have a lifespan of over 10,000 hours because they do not require wear-prone carbon brushes, unlike conventional electric motors. Therefore, the entire motor is very low maintenance.

The factory-supplied clipper head has a cutting length of 1.5mm and belongs to the exclusive Wahl Prime series. The clipper head is precision-ground and made of high-quality stainless steel, making it suitable for almost all coat types and, in combination with the included two stainless steel attachment combs (10 + 16mm), the best choice. For very fine fur or matting, you may need an additional clipper head in conjunction with attachment combs. The 1.5mm cutting set can be quickly and tool-free disassembled/assembled in seconds thanks to a quick-release button. This not only facilitates changing the clipper head but also cleaning. New to the Wahl MaxGO is the recently developed and patented LOCKGUARD folding protection. This prevents the holding plate from folding against the housing without the cutting set. This was previously a minor disadvantage of the SnapOn clipper head systems without LOCKGUARD, as a tool was always needed to fold it back. For this reason, changing the clipper head and cleaning is now much easier.

The included lithium-ion battery is state-of-the-art and can be fully charged in 100 minutes thanks to the fast charging function (80% in 60 minutes). With a fully charged battery, you have a runtime of up to 3 hours available.
