Thermal Grizzly from Hamburg is a new German brand that has taken up the fight against high temperatures and poor heat transport. The goal is to supply the overclocker scene with high-performance thermal products, which are still a weak point - but the product portfolio can just as well be used for better and quieter cooling of gaming computers, workstations, mini PCs and many other purposes. In addition to higher clock speeds, better heat conduction products enable quieter cooling as well as a longer service life of the components to be cooled.
The Aeronaut christened thermal compound is the entry-level product among Thermal Grizzly's thermal compounds. Although the proportion of metal oxides is somewhat lower here, it still offers good heat conduction. With its relatively low density and silicone-based carrier structure, it is particularly suitable for achieving a low layer thickness and thus low temperatures in large-area applications. It does not tend to harden and, with its good price/performance ratio and lower metal content, which also protects the surface of the heat source and cooler, it is also ideal for applications in which the cooler or heat source are changed frequently.
Aeronaut thermal paste is supplied here as a 3-ml syringe with two applicators. With the help of these applicators, a 27 x 27 mm area can be coated with an approximately 3 mm drop of paste, so the syringe is sufficient for about 30 applications - of course, this depends on the individual application and skill.
