The CAM FIT™ Retention System is a retention or harness system for the CAM FIT™ Combat helmets. It is a sophisticated retention system that contributes to the comfort and reliability of the combat helmet and has been optimized for professional use.

First of all, the Boa® Fit System is responsible for the perfect fit, which balances and stabilizes the weight of the helmet by evenly distributing the pressure on the head. The adjustment strap and the chin cup make it possible to adjust the helmet so that it fits tightly but is still comfortable to wear and adapts to the face.

The buckle is often a problem with helmet fastening systems, as it can pinch or squeeze and the chin is often in the way to guarantee an optimum fit. Not so with the CAM FIT™ Retention System, where an asymmetrical design has been developed that fits along the chin line while remaining smoothly stretched. The CAM FIT™ retention system uses a Cam Lock slider as a closure, which further optimizes the fit and, above all, can be operated with one hand. The chin cup lining ensures maximum comfort without friction, no matter how hot or cold it gets.

An extra feature of the CAM FIT™ restraint system is that it is also available in an LED option (Left Eye Dominant). What does that mean? Quite simply, the CAM FIT™ retention system is normally supplied with a left-hand release buckle, as this is a much more comfortable wearing position for shooters with right eye dominance. The LED option of the helmet retention system now reverses this positioning: The LED option moves the buckle to the right side of the face for shooters with a dominant left eye.

Of course, the ballistic hardware is included with all CAM FIT™ retention systems. The included hardware may not be compatible with the side rail systems, in these cases original hardware can be used.
