Like its predecessor (the NT-503), this unit features dual-mono circuitry for processing audio signals with even greater purity, using the latest VERITA AK4497 DA converter chip on each channel. This improves the signal-to-noise ratio, as each channel is now processed separately in mono mode. It also enables playback of native DSD512 (22.5 MHz) and 768 kHz/32-bit PCM.

The analog circuitry, which is critical to sound quality, includes four TEAC HCLD buffer amplifier circuits. These enable different drive modes (fully balanced drive for balanced output and parallel drive for unbalanced output).

The NT-505's network audio section supports high-quality music streaming services such as TIDAL and Qobuz, as well as "Roon Ready" playback. In addition, the unit has an integrated MQA decoder, allowing unlimited enjoyment of music content from the Internet in the highest digital and analog quality.

In addition to a wide range of digital and analog inputs, a Bluetooth receiver with LDAC and Qualcomm aptX HD support enables wireless streaming of audio content in excellent quality from your smartphone to this top-of-the-line USB-DA converter.
