The precise optical construction with three ED glass elements (Extra-low Dispersion) and one aspherical element reduces aberrations across the entire zoom range, including chromatic aberration that can occur at super-telephoto focal lengths. High sharpness and clear representation are achieved across the entire zoom and image range. And the bokeh is beautiful.

Despite the 5x zoom range, the compact lens weighs only 625 g for improved mobility of the camera system. The 70-350 mm (equivalent to 105-525 mm) range is ideal for various subjects. With the integrated image stabilization, clear, shake-free images can be captured, even with handheld shots at super-telephoto focal lengths.

An APS-C lens is equipped with an XD linear motor, a proprietary technology from Sony, which ensures fast, precise, and consistent AF.
