To win, you have to lose. In Tricky Twist, it's often more important to lose tricks than to win them. If you manage to retrieve the played card, it returns to you face-up as a "false trick." To maximize your victory points, you need not only to balance the number of your tricks and false tricks but also to optimize the cards you have turned into false tricks so that, for example, all your false tricks form a perfect sequence of values.
