Description

At birth, baby giraffes weigh 50 kilograms and fall to the floor from a height of two meters. But they do not injure themselves and can run after a short time. Baby giraffes are raised together with other young animals in a kind of kindergarten. A giraffe from the herd is the kindergarten teacher and looks after the calves while the other mothers look for food. When predators approach, it immediately sounds the alarm. The giraffe cows then stand protectively in front of their babies and kick the attackers.
