Thinner and drying retarder in one!!!
In principle, Revell Aqua Color paints can be thinned with water to make them sprayable. However, thinning with Aqua Color Mix has two advantages:
On one hand, it slows down the drying time of the paint: this prevents the paint from drying too quickly in the spray gun and on the surface.
On the other hand, this thinner also optimizes the spraying results on the model. Especially when using matte and satin matte shades, Aqua Color Mix reduces unwanted edge bleeding during application.
Recommended mixing ratio: 3-4 parts paint to 1 part Aqua Color Mix. Since the mixing ratio is highly dependent on the spray gun used and the working pressure of the compressor, it's better to start with less thinning and test the paint. If the spray gun sputters or the paint dries too quickly on the model (rough surface), simply thin it a little more.
