THERMOCUT 230/E hot wire cutter
For architectural model making, designers, decorators, artists (including arts and crafts classes), prototyping. And for classic model making (trains, planes, ships).
Important:
The device is absolutely safe thanks to the built-in isolating transformer and class 2 protective insulation. The heating elements work with 10 V at 1.0 A.
Sturdy body with 390 x 280 mm work surface made of aluminum-Cobond composite material. With a surface structure that allows the workpiece to glide evenly. Printed grid and angle division facilitate practical work. Solid aluminum handle (350 mm projection and 140 mm height clearance). With saddle and wire spool (30 m cutting wire Ø 0.2 mm included). Mitre cuts are possible by moving the saddle. An LED operating indicator prevents burnt fingers, as the cutting wire heats up to full temperature in less than 1 second.
Note:
The correct temperature (depending on the material and thickness) is determined by feel and practice. Optimal cutting results are achieved at a medium temperature and moderate pressure.
Technical data:
220 - 240 V, 50/60 Hz. Secondary transformer maximum 10 V at 1.0 A.
Cutting wire temperature for Ø 0.2 mm adjustable from approx. 100 to 200° C.
Weight approx. 3.0 kg. The device is insulated according to class 2.
