Fire Blanket
Don't sacrifice aesthetics for safety. Using a fire blanket makes it possible to successfully combat incipient fires early on and prevent their spread in many cases. Additionally, fire blankets can provide temporary protection against smoke and flames for individuals exiting a building, act as insulation, and extinguish burning clothing on people. Therefore, having a sufficiently large fire blanket is essential. The Swedish fire blanket MAUS "Dekke" meets high safety standards with its dimensions of 1.20 x 1.80m. The MAUS "Dekke" fire blanket is certified according to SS EN-1869:1997. Only fire protection blankets that meet standards are a sensible choice to function optimally in an emergency. The extinguishing effect is achieved by smothering, which means separating combustible material from the oxygen present in the air.
- Within reach - every second counts when there’s a fire! Place the fire blanket near potential hazards, such as in the kitchen. Thanks to the simple aesthetic plastic box, you can easily mount the MAUS "Dekke" on the wall. By pulling on the Fast Pull straps that protrude from the bottom, the fire blanket is ready for use immediately. Please remember to use the fire blanket correctly.
- Using a MAUS fire blanket in case of fire: 1. Pull the MAUS fire blanket from the plastic box using the Fast Pull straps and unfold it, 2. Twist the corners around your hands, 3. Hold the MAUS fire blanket in front of you with outstretched arms to protect your head and upper body while approaching the fire source, 4. Quickly lay the MAUS fire blanket over the fire. Ensure that the blanket seals tightly all around, 5. Never remove the fire blanket from the fire source. This must be done by the fire department, as re-ignition of the fire can never be ruled out.
