Macro System QuadCam 3 for Bogart

The use of multiple camera perspectives at events is becoming increasingly popular and inexpensive. For Bogart users who also film with several cameras at the same time, the new version 3 of the QuadCam software offers long-awaited functions.

Although the original name is actually no longer suitable today. Because for those who do not yet know QuadCam: you can synchronize up to 6 simultaneously captured camera perspectives by comparing images and envelopes and then perform a multi-camera cut quickly and precisely.



The innovations compared to the QuadCam 2 software from 2015:

When manually scrolling with the time slider or shuttle TT, the audio playback and an envelope curve display can be switched on / off, making it easy to cut by sound.
The cutting list can now be saved in the archive in the QuadCam 3 project menu. Exporting and importing cuts is also possible there. The advantages:
Exporting the QuadCam 3 cut list to a USB stick, for example, is the fastest way to save data. Even if the video hard drive fails, it is sufficient to import the original material and the cut list again.
Even very demanding UHD * recordings from multiple cameras can now be smoothly cut into QuadCam 3 on smaller devices. You import them into an SD project, do the QuadCam 3 MultiCam cut there and save the cut list in the archive. With the same scenes in a UHD * project, you load the cut list from the archive and create the storyboard from the UHD * material. (* Casablanca-3 / DVC maximum full HD)
The cutting lists export and import are possible across devices. You can import material in SD quality on a notebook with a small hard drive and pre-cut in QuadCam 3. The material is loaded in full quality on the stand-alone unit and the cut list of the notebook is imported.
On Windows systems, a small preview window for the finished cutting sequence can now also be activated in 1-window operation. This makes it easier to control the intersection points directly in QuadCam 3. (technically not possible with Casablanca3 / DVC)
When moving through the QuadCam 3 time bar, the camera window can now be changed directly by pressing a button without having to confirm the time slider beforehand.
The envelope curve representation for the synchronization of the scenes to the background camera is shown twice as large to show more details and to facilitate the synchronization.
When finished, QuadCam 3 now offers to insert the generated insert scene construction behind the current storyboard scene. This means that a QuadCam 3 cutting sequence can also be inserted between an existing opening and closing credits. (To avoid audio shifts in the dubbing, all audio tracks may have to be ?bound?!)
"Delete storyboard beforehand" is no longer preset as standard when finished. A mode must be selected before the ?OK? switch can be used. This further reduces the risk of incorrect operation.
In the QuadCam 3 cut list ?transition effects? can be added in the QuadCam finish menu. You can select effects, change their settings and set predefined fade times. You can also specify whether the effects should be sorted or changed randomly with every cut, or every 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 10th or 20th cut. This means, for example, that hundreds of soft screens etc. can be positioned between the camera perspectives at the push of a button. A manual change is possible at any time afterwards in the storyboard.

QuadCam3 can also be used as a demo version, but only scenes up to max. 30 seconds in length and the cut list can only be inserted 10 times into the storyboard.

Tip: For use on several registered devices there are second licenses with a discount of 50% on the list price!

For a smoother playback on Windows devices, the current Bogart installation with the versions 11.5 / 10.8 / 9.14 / 8.19 / 7.22 / 6.24 must be used!
