It creates a wireless radio link to the tiny Unifying receiver, which you plug into a free USB port - with a range of up to ten meters. Several devices can be paired with the same receiver, so that your M705 and your keyboard, for example, only require one USB port.

The laser sensor works with a sensitivity of 1000 dpi and allows precise motion detection on most surfaces. In addition to the two standard mouse buttons, the mouse has special buttons for forward, backward and program switching. A highlight is the 4-way mouse wheel: This can be used in normal, gear-controlled mode for exact line scrolling or decoupled for extremely fast scrolling.
