The protective soleplate was designed by Laurastar's Swiss engineers, it protects delicate materials and prevents shiny spots on dark fabrics. It also enables heat-sensitive fabrics such as silk to be ironed. This is made possible by a special coating that reduces the heat of the iron soleplate. The protective soleplate is very easy to attach to your Laurastar iron. First place the tip of the iron in the front part of the protective soleplate and then lower the iron to attach it to the soleplate using the tab provided at the back. Wait about 2 minutes until the soleplate has reached the right temperature to be able to iron even delicate fabrics gently.
