The HOYA filter was specially developed for infrared photography. The infrared light begins in the crimson range at approx. 750 nm and goes up to over 1000 nm. This light is no longer visible to the naked eye. When installed, the filter looks practically transparent, since it only lets the colors in the specified area through and "displays" them. Since the infrared light reflects differently in cameras than in ?normal? filters, you can take breathtaking and extremely creative results with the infrared filter. Due to the special nature of infrared light, the filter factor and exposure correction differ greatly from other filters and depend strongly on the prevailing lighting conditions.
